What is your opinion of marketing online?
I believe that online marketing is extremely efficient and effective. It definitely needs to be integrated into the marketing mix as everything seems to be moving online. These days, people are a lot more internet savvy, if they find your product online it reflects better upon the brand and its trustworthiness.

Do you use any marketing tools/websites?
Yes, for us, the main research tool for researching the performance of our website is Google Analytics.

What affect do images have on the impact of a marketing campaign?
Images can playa major role in increasing the performance of your product. We know that marketing has to be high impact, in other words, it needs to make a lasting impression on your prospective customer. We find that this is extremely effective when your image can make an emotional connection with the customer.

What is the best marketing campaign you’ve seen in the last three months (from any field)?
Hmmm, that’s a hard one. There are so many major brands injecting significant capital in order to increase their market share. One that I like in particular was the Cadbury campaign. It utilized a culmination of different marketing tools and made a lasting impression with their TV add of the Gorilla playing the drums to a Phil Collins song. Nothing to do with chocolate but really made a high impact connection with the viewer who like me will remember Cadbury for that commercial.

Why did you choose PR to incorporate in your marketing mix?
WordStorm PR have been successful in acting as our media agency, providing a communication link between our messages and our target audience. Marketing and PR strategies have been utilised effectively to enhance our media coverage. At the beginning of our campaign, we outlined our specific goals and messages and these have been achieved over and above our expectations.
