Flight Experience

Flight Experience offers everyday people the chance to fly in an exact replica Boeing 737 cockpit. By combining 180° wraparound visuals and realistic sound, customers are given a unique and authentic aviation experience. Not only used for entertainment purposes, Flight Experience flight simulators are CASA approved, allowing Australian pilots to prepare for their airline interviews, airport orientation and familiarisation.

The Brief

  • Publicise Flight Experience as a unique entertainment retailer nationally
  • Encourage consumers to visit the Flight Experience website
  • Increase sales of Flight Experience gift vouchers
  • Position Flight Experience as a leading training facility within the aviation industry

Our Success

WordStorm was successful in positioning Flight Experience as a state-of-the-art flight simulator and achieving the campaigns goals. WordStorm arranged for Flight Experience to feature on Channel Nine’s Today Show weather segment, which was filmed from inside the flight simulator at Darling Harbour. Working to educate Australian pilots and general consumers about the benefits of Flight Experience, WordStorm secured several articles in leading aviation press, key national magazines, websites and metropolitan newspapers across Australia.

Media Coverage

Flight Experience featured in a number of key publications, radio and television programs, including  Shop til you Drop Men’s issue, That’s Life, Australian T3 magazine, Virgin Blue Voyeur, Jetstar, Men’s Health, Australian Aviation, The Age, The Courier Mail, The Adelaide Advertiser, The West Australian, www.pcauthority.com.au, www.dailyaddict.com.au, 4BC radio Brisbane, MTR radio Melbourne and The Today Show.

“After spending many tens of thousands of dollars on advertising in early 2010 with questionable results we decided to consider a PR company to promote our business located at Darling Harbour, Sydney. We chose Wordstorm as a suitable company to meet our needs. As you know our program of PR activities lasted four months from June to September 2010. We are now in February 2011 and still seeing record sales as a result of the PR activities. The publicity Wordstorm gained for us far exceeded our expectations with articles in print, radio, television and digital mediums. Your team did an amazing job for us and I would highly recommend your services to anyone in a similar position.”
